PSDM announces its electoral platform for the next four years

The improvement of living conditions of Chisinau residents and real increase of living standards of population are among the main priorities for the next four years of the candidate for Chisinau mayor on behalf of the Social Democrat Party, Eduard Musuc, and of the candidates for councillors representing the same party. Among the proposed objectives, Musuc recalled Tuesday at a news conference the defence of citizens and ensuring of law’s supremacy, as well as bringing to order and control the activity of City Hall’s organisations. The quoted source said that PSDM will announce a moratorium on all “grandiose projects” funded from the public coffers and will redirect the money to solving problems of vital importance for people. The party also pleads for equitable distribution of budgetary resources, Musuc said. PSDM leader says that if he will win the elections, 12-15% yearly will be allocated from the public budget for renovating the dwelling fund. At the same time, PSDM affirms it will ensure the formation of the Fund of additional social payments for pensioners. This category of persons will also receive from the City Hall additional pensions, which will increase from 100 lei in 2008 to 400 lei - in 2011. Another priority of PSDM is to open offices for free legal assistance in each district; to return “Antena C” radio station and “Euro TV” channel to municipality’s property etc. Eduard Musuc is the number nine candidate in the race for mayor general of Chisinau. The first five on PSDM list for municipal councillors are Eduard Musuc, Loretta Handrabura, Eugen Roscovanu, Igor Lupulciuc and Ghenadie Tatar. The general local elections will take place on June 3.
