The Social Democratic Party (PSD) calls on the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the Political Party “Our Party” (PPPN) to nominate a common candidate for the October 30 presidential elections. In a public call, the PSD expresses its concern about the lack of unity between the parties of the left, IPN reports.
In its call, the party says it is evident that the real competitors in the October 30 presidential elections are Igor Dodon, Marian Lupu, Dumitru Chubashenko, and Maia Sandu.
“The Social Democratic Party is concerned about the lack of unity between the parties of the left, which always insisted on the country’s independence and sovereignty, national heritage, social equity and guarantees, and improvement of the socio-economic relations with the Russian Federation,” reads the call.
Thus, in order to unite the voters in the campaign prior to the presidential elections, the PSD repeatedly calls on the PSRM and PPPN to assume responsibility and to field a common candidate who will get the vote of all the supporters of the parties of the left.
In this regard, the Social Democratic Party says it is ready to take part in consultations on the elaboration and implementation of a strategy for consolidating the political parties of the left so as not to allow unionists and persons affiliated to different groups and clans to come to power.
