PSD accuses ruling Communists of hiding truth about real situation in economy

Representatives of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) accuse the Communist governance over not enforcing anti-crisis measures and of hiding the real situation in the economy from the citizens, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Ruslan Barladeanu, a candidate on the PSD's list for the parliament, the economic and political destabilization likely to follow after the elections could lead to an economic and social disaster in Moldova. That is why, the Social-Democrats recommend the government not to try and rig the April 5 elections. “They should not try and gerrymander the data, since the political instability triggers the economic one, and this could lead to a disaster in Moldova's society and economy,” said Barladeanu. At the same conference, Victor Selin, a candidate on the PSD's list for the parliament, has said the party will collect at least 17% of votes on April 5. According to Selin, “only the signals about possibly rigging the elections made the PSD to unveil its electoral score.” “We did not intend (to make public this score – e.n.), but there are serious signals indicating there will be problems with the elections' results,” he said.
