Prut level decreases in Briceni, rises in Edinet

The sixth flood wave did not cause damage in Briceni district. The Prut water level fell by 2.5 meters. At the same time, it is increasing in Edinet district, Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo.
The level of water in Lipcani town of Briceni decreased by 2.75 meters, while in Serauti village – by 2.55 meters.
According to Liliana Puscasu, the risk area now covers Edinet district. The water level in Lopatnic village rose by 0.89 meters to 14.90 meters.
The releases from the reservoir Costesti-Stanca constitute 800 cubic meters per second.
The Prut water level on the Glodeni – Falesti segment went up by 0.04 – 0.07 meters, while in Ungheni town fell by 0.03 meters. The level of water in Hancesti remained unchanged during the last 24 hours, while on the Leova – Cantemir segment decreased by 0.02 meters.
Rain is forecast for the next days. The danger of flooding persists.
