Provisions of Free Trade Agreement with EU will be made public after initialing

The provisions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU will be made known after the agreement is initialed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Valeriu Lazar announced in a news conference, IPN reports.

Valeriu Lazar said such an unwritten agreement was reached by the negotiators. Before the initialing, any of the EU member state can propose amendments. In such a case, new negotiations will be held.

However, meetings with Moldovan producers were held during the talks and they were informed about the changes that the new trade regime with the EU will bring. Thus, they know what to expect.

The negotiations on the agreement were completed and now the sides are performing the procedures needed for initialing it, most probably at the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit this autumn.
