The people who entered the Parliament Building after forcing a lateral door were driven off by the police, but the protesters continue to surround the Building and demand early legislative elections, IPN reports.

At this hour, the protests continue in front of the Parliament Building. The protesters chant “We are the people”, “Down with Plahotniuc”, “We will not yield” and “Early elections”.

The people said they will protest until the MPs leave the Parliament Building. Some of the protesters started fires nearby to warm themselves up.

At a certain moment, the police intervened to drive the people away from the Parliament Building.

A large crowd of people came together before the Parliament Building during the special sitting held to vote in the Government headed by Democrat Pavel Filip. The people protested against the voting in of the new Cabinet. When this was given a vote of confidence, the people surrounded the Parliament Building. The protest involved sympathizers of the Party of Socialists, the Political Party “Our Party” and of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”.
