Info-Prim Neo News Agency expresses its disapproval of the denigrating gesture against it that was made public by Vitalia Pavlichenko, the charwoman of the National Liberal Party (PNL), last weekend. Namely the inclusion of Info-Prim Neo in a list of media outlets that are under the control of high-ranking Moldovan political figures is regarded as denigration. Neither Missis Pavlichenko personally, nor the political parties of which she formed part have ever been among the Agency’s subscribers and thus did not have access to the entire newscast so as to be able to objectively assess the media products of Info-Prim Neo. We presume that she either did not read the free products published by Info-Prim Neo on its website www.info-prim.md or could not form an objective opinion even if she considers herself a journalist by profession. At the same time, the Agency thanks Vitalia Pavlichenko for this serious mistake. Her untruthful statement shows that there are no plausible arguments to accuse Info-Prim Neo of being biased in favor of somebody. This way, the leader of the PNL indirectly confirmed once again the Agency’s neutral position. This inability of Missis Pavlichenko to clarify things in an area with which she is familiar may also arouse doubts about her capacity to promote the unionist cause of her party. This may be the reason why the PNL and the cause itself achieved the results we see. We deny the possible justification by Vitalia Pavlichenko that ‘somebody published information about who the media outlets in Moldova belongs to’ on her blog. She should at least recognize the responsibility of offering ‘paternity’ and respectively, pseudo-credibility to an anonymous rumor, if it was anonymous. Otherwise, Vitalia Pavlichenko will have to admit that the method seems to have been devised according to the technologies of a certain kind of secret services of the past that had an ill repute.
