Representatives of the Party of Socialists Tuesday protested in front of the Ministry of the Interior against the reforms promoted by it, which they consider as sterile, IPN reports.
Vlad Batrincea, a member of the Party of Socialists’ executive committee, said that these reforms lead to the destruction of the system. “The crime rate in Moldova has increased. The people are afraid to go out. Dorin Recean is incompetent and should leave together with his reforms,” he stated. According to him, police officers’ salaries were decreased by 31%, while the number of thefts and homicides rose by 40%.
MP Ion Ceban said that the law on the police should be repealed, while the sterile reforms should be stopped. “Crimes are daily reported on the TV. The number of criminal groups increases, but those who are responsible for the criminal acts are not presented,” he said.
The protesters demanded halting the sterile reforms at the Ministry and restoring order in the country.
