“Down with the Alliance!” and “Down with the Government!” chanted Communist members of Parliament together with a large group of supporters in a Saturday morning protest rally in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to organizers, the event brought together around 1,000 people and similar rallies took place in Comrat and Edinet. MP Sergiu Stati insisted the ruling Eurointegration Alliance must resign because it failed to deliver on its promises. “We see no European integration, we see no concrete steps towards raising salaries and pensions”, said the Communist deputy. The party staged another protest on Friday outside the Parliament's building before the legislature's session seeking the resignation of the Alliance and the withdrawal of parliamentary memberships from three deputies who quit the Communists two weeks ago.
