A group of demonstrators protested in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Moscow, against the arrest of the Bashkan of Gagauzia Evgenia Guțul. The videos posted by the Russian news agency TASS show around 15 people holding placards written in Gagauz and Russian, IPN reports.

A rally was organized on Wednesday in Comrat. The protesters sought the release of Evgenia Guțul, who was arrested on Tuesday evening at the Chisinau Airport, from where she intended to take a flight to Istanbul. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, she appears in the information systems on the no-fly list, which is why the border guards informed the competent authorities about her intention to leave the country.
