The Prosecutor General’s Office said it started a criminal case following the appearance of public reports that cast doubt on the legality of the financing of some of the political parties, IPN reports.
In a press release, the institution says legal action was taken in a move to objectively elucidate the circumstances of this case. Evidence has been collected and persons started to be questioned.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also said that the criminal case is based on published video images showing a discussion between President Igor Dodon and the chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc.
