A man is accused by prosecutors of beating his wife. The Prosecutor’s Office of Rascani district remitted the case to the court, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office. According to the prosecutors, the man often beat his wife and the woman filed for divorce. The property accumulated while the two have been married will be divided. Returning one day home with the minor daughter, the woman was again disparaged by her husband. He beat her until she fell to the ground. The daughter called the ambulance and the police, and the man left the scene. The doctors established that the victim received average bodily injuries in the form of fractures, mental shock and bruises. Nongovernmental organizations that fight against family violence have repeatedly condemned the fact that the aggressors are seldom sentenced, only if the injuries are serious. Usually, the aggressors are fined. The NGOs say that such a punishment only reduces the budget of the family and is not educative.
