Prosecutor was beaten by three men in Cahul

A prosecutor of the Southern Service of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office was beaten last night, March 1, by three men, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Maria Vieru, head of the General Prosecutor’Office press service, told reporters that the three aggressors were visiting some friends living in the same building as the prosecutor. After getting drunk, the men came on the hall, made noise and tried to damage the entrance door.
The prosecutor asked them to not disturb public order, which annoyed the men who attacked him with a crowbar. The victim called his wife, who brought his gun and the prosecutor fired two warning shots. The aggressors ran away, except for one that was held by the prosecutor. The police arrived and later identified the other two, said Maria Vieru.
The prosecutor suffered several injuries, including a leg fracture.
Criminal proceedings were started under hooliganism charges which come with a fine of 400 to 1000 conventional units or with up to 5 years' imprisonment. Two of the suspects are under preventive arrest for 72 hours and the third, underage, is prosecuted at large.
