The inspections carried out at the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases were extended until January 10. Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo, who ordered the inspections, said the workload is heavy as a four-year period is being covered, IPN reports.

“The inspections will last until January 10. Afterward, we will provide information about the activity of the given prosecutor’s offices,” Alexandr Stoianoglo told the press after the meeting of the Superior Council of Prosecutors.

Asked about what was discovered, the official said: “You will learn about many interesting things found out in the activity of our prosecution service.”

As to Viorel Morari, who was suspended from the post of chief of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Alexandr Stoianoglo said the property of this is being checked. His return to the post will depend on the results of inspections.

He also said that when the inspections are over, more details will be given in a news conference.
