Proposal to sack CMC chairman rejected
The proposal of the Liberal councilor in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Ion Ciobanu, to dismiss Eduard Musuc from his position of the CMC's chairman has not gathered the necessary number of votes to be included on the additional agenda of the CMC's sitting on September 11, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Of 43 councilors attending the sitting, only those 9 Liberal councilors backed the proposal. The AMN and PLDM factions abstained, while the PCRM, PPCD, PUM, PSD factions and the non-affiliated councilors Mihai Severovan and Valerii Climenco voted against.
Ion Ciobanu proposed to dismiss Eduard Musuc before the lunch break. “Eduard Musuc made pressure on judiciary matters, and we allow to be conducted by someone who conducts and dictates in the judge's office,” the councilor stated, referring to the fact that the CMC chairman was caught by a TV crew as he was being advised by a judge after a court session in a suit started by Chisinau's mayor Dorin Chirtoaca.
Till 15.30, the councilors managed to adopt only the agenda of the sitting.
