The rapid vote counting performed by Promo Lex Association in 299 polling places of the about 2,000 established in the country shows that the PCRM polled 40.07% of the vote, the PLDM – 28.64%, the PD – 13.73%, while the PL – 8.90%. The other election runners obtained together over 8% of the ballot. The margin of error is 1%. The results of Promo-Lex’s swift vote counting and the violations identified by the Association’s observers on the election day have been presented this morning in a news conference held at Info-Prim Neo. Multiple voting, campaigning, presence of election posters at polling places and the poor performance of members of electoral bureaus of polling places are the main violations reported by the observers of Promo-Lex. The Association is concerned about the multiple cases of more than one voter entering the polling booth simultaneously. Half of the Promo-Lex observers who monitored 299 polling places all over the country reported such cases. Promo-Lex head Ion Manole said a large part of the members of the commissions of the national electoral bureaus were poorly informed about the voting procedure and vote counting procedure. In Sunday’s elections, Promo-Lex had over 2,900 observers, including 42 long-term ones.
