Promo-LEX’s Alexandru Postica to sit on Judicial Disciplinary Board

Alexandru Postica, strategic development advisor with the human rights organization Promo-LEX, will sit on the Judicial Disciplinary Board as a civil society representative. He has earned the seat following a selection process held by the Ministry of Justice, IPN reports.

Alexandru Postica has experience in litigation before Moldovan and international courts, in representing plaintiffs before the European Court of Human Rights, and in coordinating and monitoring human rights activities.

The Judicial Disciplinary Board examines disciplinary charges brought against judges and applies disciplinary sanctions. It consists of five judges and four civil society figures, appointed for six-year terms. The Ministry of Justice is to announce a new selection process to fill a vacant seat with another civil society representative.
