Promo-LEX to open information center for journalists on election day
Promo-Lex will set up a media center on the election day. The center will provide the journalists with first-hand information that Promo-Lex will collect while monitoring the elections, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the association.
According to the quoted source, about 270 monitors representing Promo-Lex will continuously oversee the elections in seven districts located along the Nistru.
The Media Promo-Lex Center will issue three preliminary reports on the election results at 11.00, 18.00 and 22.00 on July 29.
The media center will work from 9.00 to 22.00. It will be housed in the Institute for Development and Social Initiative "Viitorul" located at 10/1 Iacob Hancu Street.
Promo-LEX will monitor the July 29 legislative elections in seven electoral districts as part of the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections – Coalition 2009. About 270 monitors will supervise the elections in Floresti, Rezina, Dubasari, Anenii Noi, Causeni and Stefan Voda districts and in Moldova’s Transnistrian region, where polling places were set up for the Transnistrian voters.
