Project to promote nonformal education and organize leisure time completed

The project to promote nonformal education and organize the leisure time of children in an efficient way by teaching them astronomic sciences was completed. The project was aimed at restoring the possibilities of studying astronomy and at enabling the children to freely explore the universe with the assistance of a modern telescope, IPN reports.

Inside the Creation Center “Sunflower”, the authors of the project staged workshops that involved children and teachers of the host institution. The activity forms part of the project to promote nonformal education that was implemented through the agency of the 2021 Chisinau Civic Budget Program.

In the second part of the event, there was held a drawing contest where the kids were awarded diplomas. The children could learn new things about astronomy, the solar system, planets, reference astronomic events and could explore the universe through informative materials, presentations and drawings.

The implementation team staged a guided excursion for the children at the Cosmonautics Museum in Chisinau, where they could learn details about the exploration of space.

The activities were coordinated by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, the Creation Center “Sunflower” and the implementation team of the project.
