The project to modernize the Central Market of Chisinau will be placed for public debates, deputy mayor Inga Ionesii announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
“We also discussed with the municipal councilors who form part of the working group for revising the case of the Central Market. A Municipal Council decision was drafted for making changes to the previous decision and entrusting this working group with the task of finalizing the conception to modernize the Central Market,” stated Inga Ionesii.
The markets all over Moldova, except for those of Chisinau and Bălți, resumed work on May 11. Mayor General Ion Ceban intends to pay a visit to the Central Market tomorrow.
As regards street trading, Inga Ionesii said the first public debate online was held last week, but a meeting with physical participation was scheduled for May 20. Business entities submitted 24 proposals and the concept will be finalized after the May 20 meeting.
The first meeting with business entities to consider the possibility of providing public areas for summer terraces without paying rental will be held today, starting at 3:30pm.
