The national restaurants can apply to take part in a national training and accreditation program entitled “Wine Friendly Restaurant”, which is designed to encourage moderate wine consumption. The program is aimed at promoting the image of the national wine. The restaurants taking part in the program will benefit from free training for their employees, who will be taught how to serve correctly wine and to acquire abilities of a sommelier. Equipment needed to keep the wine will be also purchased within the program and provided to the participating restaurants. The program was launched in Chisinau on February 19, IPN reports.
In the launch of the program, Vitalie Panuta, vice director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, said there were attracted the best international practices. The training seminars will take place in February, April and September. The participants in the program will also benefit from promotional activities and will take part in thematic campaigns to promote the culture of wine consumption and in events sponsored by the National Office of Vine and Wine.
