In a press release of the Council, it is said that the representatives of the parliamentary alliance noted it is necessary and even mandatory to continue implementing all the reforms, by the time limits stipulated in the roadmap between Moldova and the European Union.

The meeting also discussed the progress made in preparing the new program with the International Monetary Fund and the public administration reform. There were agreed the working stages needed for ensuring an attractive business and investment climate that would generate new jobs and for fulfilling the commitments made by the government to civil society.

A separate issue for discussion was the Venice Commission’s approval of the amendments to the Election Code, which will enable to organize this year’s presidential elections. The Council suggested holding discussions for debating all the relevant proposals so that the legal framework is adopted taking into account the opinions of civil society as well.
