The Chisinau City Hall plans to organise a broad programme of cultural-artistic activities and events dedicated to the winter holidays. The programme will start with the sixteenth edition of the Festival of Winter Holiday Traditions “Be Healthy, Be Wealthy” by children’s artistic groups, which will be held between December 17 and 20 in the festivity halls of Chisinau. The Laureate Gala will take place at the Arts Centre “Ginta Latina” on December 23. The Awards Gala of the Satiricus Theatre I.L. Caragiale, the eighth edition, is scheduled for December 19. The twelfth edition of the Festival of Winter Holiday Traditions “Florile Dalbe” (“Lilly-White Flowers”) by artistic groups of youth and adults will take place at the Young Naturalists Centre of Botanica District on December 20 and 21. The Laureate Gala will be held at the National Philharmonics House on December 22, starting at 18.00. Between December 24 and January 7, the Chisinau administration will organise a series of cultural-artistic events and charity meals in the municipality’s districts. The winter holidays will be opened in the Great National Assembly Square and in the capital’s districts on December 24, starting at 16.30. Ethno-folk youth bands from the municipality will give a concert of pop and folk music. The Gala of FM Radio Stations will take place in the Great National Assembly Square on December 25. This is a performance given by pop and folk singers and groups. Recreational programmes for children with Santa Claus, his Niece and other folk characters as well as games, contest, songs, carols, congratulations with the participation of actors of the municipal puppet theatre “Guguta” will be organised each day, between January 2 and 7, starting at 13.00. The programme was approved by order of the Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca. The General Finance Division is to submit proposals to the Chisinau Municipal Council concerning increasing expenses for organising the activities – 13,800 lei, for decorating and taking down the Christmas tree and 150,000 lei for organising the event “A Christmas Evening”.
