Program of events on 30th anniversary “Moldova-30” approved

The Government approved the national action plan for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova entitled “Moldova-30”, IPN reports.

The basic element of the program is the festivities that will be held in the Great National Assembly Square on August 27. The events will involve the most popular national folk, light and classical music singers.

The celebrations will yet go beyond the festivities planned for August 27. A number of cultural and artistic events will be staged nationwide as part of the program”Moldova-30” until the end of this year.

Among these events will be thematic contests, campaigns to promote the national heritage and the country’s image at national level, thematic festivals, exhibitions, official opening of the school and university year with a public lecture centering on the 30th anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova titled “Lesson of Independence” etc.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the national program “Moldova-30” was designed based on proposals formulated by members of the national committee for the organization and holding of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the proclaiming of the independence of the Republic of Moldova, which was constituted by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi by a decision on March 18, 2021.
