Professor Nicolae Cojocaru helps us "To know more about the Germans”

After five years of work, university professor Nicolae Cojocaru has launched his book "To know more about the Germans" where he speaks about the thinking, culture and way of living of the Germans from the perspective of a citizen who settled in Germany. Nicolae Cojocaru said that by this book he repaid two debts - one to those who remained at home and one to the German people, IPN reports.

"I repaid a debt to those who remained at home so as to tell them how the people live in the country where I live now not in order to urge the young people to leave, but to tell them that they can learn many useful things from the German people. The other debt is paid to this country and its people in recognition because we did nothing, but they accepted us and maintain us according to their criteria. But leading a modest life, as I was taught, I lack nothing," the author said in the launch.

The writer who settled in Germany said the Moldovans must learn from the German people how to do things in a qualitative way so as not to do one thing twice because this is the main answer to the question why the Germans are rich.

Nicolae Cojocaru said the book consists of two parts and says what the people see on a street in a German town when they go out. He made a comparison between the eductaion systems of Germany and Moldova, naming the Moldovan system a crime in relation to the young people, which forms only unemployed persons with diplomas.

Writer Vlad Pohila said he was impressed by the quality of the book, which is not a simple journal of impressions, but is the effort by an intelectual man to confront the porblems of the Moldovans and those of the Germans or, more excatly, the non-problems of the latter. "The book has a special value for those who go abroad. Mister Professor Cojocaru gives us a lesson on how to maintain ties with the native people. This is the second book he launched after living in Germany for 10 years already," he stated.

Representative of the publishing house "Stiinta" Larisa Dohotaru said the blue color of the cover matches well the title "To know more about the Germans" because blue is the color of knowledge. "The book impresses you and does not allow you to leave it. It's a pity that you didn't issue more copies for bookshops as we have persons who want to read," she stated, addressing the author.

The book was issued in 800 copies and was distributed free.
