The professional orientation should start in the seventh class, when a person switches over from childhood to adolescence and starts to realize particular things, expert in educational policies Ludmila Bolboceanu stated in the talk show “Issue of the day” on Canal2 channel, IPN reports.
According to the expert, the professional orientation mechanism should be changed as the young people should know both the advantages and disadvantages of a job. “In our universities, they pay insufficient attention to communication, the relationship that an employee should build in a group. Many young people do not understand why they are not accepted. Sometimes the young people become disappointed when they start internship,” stated Ludmila Bolboceanu. She noted that apprenticeship should represent 80% of the training of young people in a particular area. The expert called on the young people to study the profession they like, not the one indicated by parents.
Silviu Gincu, head of the Vocational Education Division of the Ministry of Education, said the struggle for specialists intensifies annually. The demand is high for IT specialists. Even if more places were created for studying this area, the education institutions do not yet satisfy the demand for IT specialists. “Our objective is to come closer to the labor market through institutions. We actually have by a vocational education institution in each district or neighborhood. We thus try to train labor force zonally and by areas,” stated Silviu Gincu.
