A woman aged 38 and four men aged between 30 and 46, who are citizens of Moldova and Turkey, were arrested on suspicion that they recruited girls to provide sexual services for many to foreigners, especially Turks, who came to Moldova on business or for sex tourism, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the recruited women were aged between 18 and 25. But these included also two minor girls. For an hour in the company of the girls, the clients paid 800 to 1,000 lei. The girls were paid only 200–500 lei of this money, while the rest was collected by the procurers.

The four men will be held on remand for 30 days. The woman is investigated outside jail. The procurers face up to 20 years behind bars.
