A business in the Republic of Moldova will be launched and managed from a distance in a simplified way, by using digital instruments. On the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, the Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill to amend a number of normative documents titled Development of Remote or Contactless Businesses in Moldova, IPN reports.

This way, it is proposed eliminating the constraints existing in the starting and management of a business from a distance. Digital identification and authentication solutions (eKYC, eNotary și MobiSign) will be applied for the diaspora and foreign investors. The initial identification procedure in the case of foreigners will be performed by assigning the IDNP without issuing IDs, even if the foreigner does not enter Moldova.

Also, there will be removed the barriers to remote personnel employment, including abroad, given that the national economy witnesses a shortage of qualified labor.

“As a result, we will obtain a reduction in the unjustified costs for entrepreneurs by using digital instruments, facilitating access to fully digital services for entrepreneurs, foreign investors and the diaspora,” said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization.
