The procedure for issuing tax invoices was simplified. Earlier, a company needed about five days to receive an invoice, but from June 24 this will be possible in several hours. Valentina Merla, head of the State Tax Inspectorate’s Fiscal Administration Division, said the invoices will be issued without additional verifications and without limiting the number of asked for forms, IPN reports.
“An application will be submitted directly to the units from where the bills will be issued. This is a new, much simpler procedure,” said Valentina Merla. The invoices will be issued based on the application and the document showing that the payment for the requested forms was made, presented directly at the issuing units of the local inspectorates.
Only the economic entities that pose a threat to VAT administration will be checked. The lists of taxpayers that will be issued with fiscal invoices after the tax body examines their applications will be made known when the taxpayers access the electronic services in an authorized way.
