Procedure for authorizing hazardous industrial facilities excluded

The Government annulled the procedure for authorizing hazardous industrial facilities. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, the decision forms part of the measures aimed at reducing the administrative burden on the business environment, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the same time, the security of the technical equipment and technological systems used at hazardous industrial facilities will be certified in accordance with the European standards in the field. A license is required for working in the area of industrial security. The activities or works that can be performed without a license will be supervised by the competent bodies. The companies will be obliged to ensure the theoretical or practical training of the technical engineering personnel and cover all the related costs. The hazardous industrial facilities include company premises and other buildings where there are technical or technological equipment that produces or uses inflammable materials, oxidants, explosives and toxic substances. The accidents at these facilities can affect the health and property of the people or the environment.
