The inhabitants of Chisinau municipality will be able to inform the City Hall about different problems existing in the city through the website www.alerte.md that was launched on September 26. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the website will become a socialization network between the City Hall and the people, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Dorin Chirtoaca, the new mechanism will allow the people to indicate the problems on an online map of Chisinau and attach a photo. The subdivision in charge is informed about the problem. After the problem is solved, an announcement is put on the website, accompanied by video proofs. The mayor said the subdivisions will encounter difficulties in using this mechanism at the beginning. “Every team chief will have to carry a camera. After the problem is dealt with, the photographs will be published on the website for confirmation,” said Chirtoaca. According to him, the project had been tested for several months and was now launched officially. The idea of creating such a website was put forward by the NGO “Media Point”. The organization’s representative Mihai Lupascu said about €100 was spent on the designing of the website. The administrators of the website work on a voluntary basis.
