The Government didn’t approve a legislative proposal formulated by the parliamentary group Pro Moldova, which allows for the provision of early old-age pension to persons who have three more years until retirement and who were fired in 2020, IPN reports.
According to the executive, the proposed amendment introduces derogations from the principles of organizing and managing the public social insurance system, namely the principle of equality that ensures nondiscriminatory treatment for all the participants in the public system - taxpayers and recipients – in terms of the rights and obligations defined by law.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the essence of the pension system reform resides in the unification of the conditions and method of calculating pensions and special conditions for setting pensions for particular categories of people as regards the retirement age and special insurance periods were excluded.
