The parliamentary group Pro Moldova warns that each party has an integral name, a shortened name and own symbols and the law is violated if other uses these names and symbols. In a press release, Pro Moldova says it is illegal to register in Parliament any group, political platform or any other form of association of MPs or political parties that would contain the name “For Moldova” or other synonymic forms with the officially registered name of the Pro Moldova Party. The Parliament’s administration was also notified of this, IPN reports.
“The phrase “For Moldova”, used by a group of MPs and a parliamentary group, is identical in meaning with the party’s name “Pro Moldova” and this fact was certified by the Institute of Romanian Philology “Bogdan Petriceicu-Hașdeu” of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research,” Pro Moldova says in its press release.
The MPs call on the representatives of the media to avoid using the phrase “For Moldova” when informing about the activity of other entities, persons or groups if only in the case of the activity and members of Pro Moldova.
