Ten companies received the Excellence Trophy for results achieved in observing the security norms at work in 2013. The prizes were awarded by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, IPN reports.

The awardees are: “Lafarge Ciment”, “Rusnac-MoldAqua”, “Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery”,  “Orange Moldova”, “Floare Carpet”, “Plaiul Barladean”, “Drancor”, ”Combinatul de Vinuri Cricova”,  “Coca-Cola Bottlers Chisinau”, and “Rogob”.

Minister of Labor Valentina Buliga said the trophy was instituted with a view to encouraging the companies working in Moldova to invest in developing the business and to ensure a high level of security at work.

In 2013, the State Labor Inspectorate was informed about 393 accidents. 30 accidents were fatal. The victims included a minor.
