Prizes for patriotic songs

The winners of the national contest of patriotic songs “Moldova – My Homeland”, which was organized in Moldova for the first time, were awarded prizes at a solemn ceremony held at the Library of the Presidential Office, Info-Prim Neo reports. All the laureates received diplomas and money awards. The Top Prize went to Alina Pereateatco of the musical studio “Elat”, who sang a song by Liviu Stirbu. The first prize was won by Andrei Stefanet, who performed a song written by Valentin Danga and Anatol Ciocanu. “Viitorul” team, which sang a song composed by Anatol Gherman took the second position, while the third position was shared by Angela Marta (music and text by Valentin Danga) and the duo Ecaterina and Ion Lincovschi, with a song composed by Ion Lincovschi. Honors were offered to Vasile Lupu and four bands: “Integro”, Victor Cemortan with the band “Noi”, Cristina Bleandura with the band “Music Mixt” and Ion Nicolaev with the band “Miracol”. The initiative to hold the contest was proposed by President Vladimir Voronin in the context of the Republic’s Day celebrations. The contest is designed to contribute to the propagation of love for the native land in the society, the presidential press service informs. All the songs that reached the final will be preformed on the Republic’s Day in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau.
