As of October 1, the motor vehicles, including the private transport, could move on Bucureşti St in both directions. Until now only the minibuses could travel towards Botanica district, IPN reports.

The Chisinau City Hall said the decision was taken in a move to fluidize traffic downtown while the water supply and sewerage networks on 31 august 1989 St will be rehabilitated.

Works to repair water supply and sewerage pipes will also be performed on the streets Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun. The works form part of Package No. 2 of the  project “Chisinau – Urban Roads” that envisions the rehabilitation of three streets in the center of the city, namely 31 august 1989, Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun. The street reconstruction works will start in February 2019.
