The deadline for re-registering private education establishments will be extended until July 1, 2010. The Government approved a relevant amendment to the Education Law, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Education Leonid Bujor said a new Education Code that will regulate the activity of the private education institutions on the basis of norms used in other countries will be adopted later. Until then, the legislation will be adjusted to the situation in the private education sector. According to the minister, the private education institutions did not manage to re-register with the relevant authorities by the earlier July 1, 2009 deadline. To be re-registered, the given institutions must bring their authorized capital and own material base in compliance with the set aims and fixed norms.
