Prisoners will travel in comfort

The Federal Republic of Germany donated four vehicles for transporting detainees to Moldova. The vehicles are equipped with heating, ventilation and lighting systems and a system for communication between the driver’s place and the guards’ place, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Department of Penitentiary Institutions.
The four Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Evobus vehicles can be used to transport 8, 9 or 27 prisoners. They include cells for one persons and two persons and places for the accompanying personnel.
The vehicles were provided by the Ministries of Justice of the German regions of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen and Sachsen in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Embassy of Germany in Moldova.
The donation is designed to improve and adjust the conditions of escorting detainees and of increasing security.
