Three young men between the ages of 24 and 32 have been sentenced to prison for unlawful deprivation of liberty and rape of a minor. The case took place in late April 2019 in the south of the country, IPN reports.

The General Prosecutor's Office states that one of the defendants inflicted physical and mental violence on a 15-year-old girl. The individual lured her into his residence and did not allow her to leave. Then, together with the other two defendants, with the aim of satisfying their sexual lust, taking advantage of the girl's inability to defend herself, they raped her, causing her physical and mental suffering.

One of the young men was sentenced to 13 years in prison and the second to 9 years in prison. The third defendant, who was a minor at the time of the crime, was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

According to prosecutors, all three defendants pleaded not guilty.

The sentence is not final and is subject to appeal to the Southern Court of Appeal.
