Printing of ballots for voting in the country begins Wednesday

The printing of ballots that are to be used in the country’s polling stations at the October 20 presidential election and constitutional referendum starts on Wednesday, IPN reports.

“Under the Electoral Code, representatives of election contestants, the media and accredited observers can attend the making of the ballot matrix, printing of ballot papers and liquidation of the ballot matrix,” said the Central Election Commission.

The ballots will be printed at the Polygraphic Company located on Mitropolit Petru Movila St, starting at 12 noon.

For the polling stations in the country, 2,729,996 ballots will be printed for each of the two electoral exercises. Most of them, 2,092,641 ballots, will be in Romanian. Over 631,000 ballots will be in Russian, and 115,000 – in Ukrainian. Fewer ballots will be in Gagauz, Bulgarian and Romani.
