Prime Minister visits eco-fair

Prime Minister Vlad Filat filled his basket with ecologic products at the fair organized outside the Ministry of Agriculture. The head of the Executive explained that his way he tried to send a message for the producers to come to the fair and for the customers to buy directly from the producers, without intermediaries, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat bought more honey and honey products. “First of all, I like honey and try to consume as often as possible, not only with tea or milk”. He also bought milk, cheese, fresh strawberries and frozen blackberries, as well as blackberry jam and wine. He also tasted rice cooked in pumpkin. The Prime Minister admitted he was a meat lover, but tried to eat less meat and more fruit and vegetables. Vlad Filat was keen on talking to all the producers who came to the fair, including a family from the Transnistrian region. The Prime Minister thinks that the parking area of the Ministry of Agriculture, where the fair is organized on Saturdays and Sundays, is too small. Authorities considering organizing the fair outside the Government House and then moving it to an agro-industrial center on the outskirts of the city. “I have good impression from this fair. It is an older idea. The situation shows us that we must speed up the opening of an agro-industrial center to facilitate the contact between producers and customers, without intermediaries”, said Filat. The fair of ecologic products is being organized the second week in a row, in the weekend, outside the building of the Ministry of Agriculture. Customers can find meat, eggs, dairy products, vegetables, fruits and mushrooms, all produced ecologically in Moldova.
