Prime Minister to visit Poland

Prime Minister Vlad Filat will travel to Poland on October 29. The details of the visit were agreed with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk in Bucharest, where they attended the Congress of the European People’s Party, Info-Prim Neo reports. Filat held a press briefing on Thursday where he spoke about the importance of his party, the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM), belonging to the European People’s Party (EPP). “PLDM’s membership in the EPP is beneficial not only for the party I lead, but for Moldova as a whole”, he declared. According to the Liberal-Democrat leader, the EPP manifest stipulates the enlargement of the European Union and Vlad Filat thinks this is a chance for Moldova in the future. In Bucharest, the Moldovan Prime Minister also met with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, who will visit Moldova on November 29-30.
