Prime Minister Pavel Filip’s visit to Germany agreed

Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur and the head of the Representative Office of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Berlin, Secretary of State Volker Ratzmann agreed to combine efforts to organize the visit of Prime Minister Pavel Filip to Stuttgart and Mannheim. The two officials had a discussion within an informal meeting of the OSCE foreign affairs ministers, where they pleaded for the extension of the cooperation relations with the state Baden-Wuerttemberg, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

The Premier’s visit will focus on two dimensions – political and economic-social. Consequently, it was suggested holding an economic forum in Mannheim within his visit to Stuttgart.

The officials also discussed the intensification of the Moldovan-German relations so as to extend the profile of cooperation. Andrei Galbur encouraged the provision of expertise in the territorial-administrative reform, promotion of the investment potential and strengthening of economic cooperation, academic and police partnership. It was confirmed the intention of extending cooperation between municipalities.

The Moldovan official made reference to the successful experience of the German investors in Moldova and invited the German partners to develop Moldova’s potential together with the full implementation of the Moldova – EU Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
