More than 430 pharmaceutical preparations were registered by producers with the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices in January 2017. As many as 275 medicines of these have lower prices in lei. Of the total number of drugs, 242 are of European origin, while 107 come from the CIS, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Agency says the producer prices of some of the medicines were decreased by down to 40%. For example, the price of Ketilept is by 38.3% lower than last year, of Kreon by 28.5%, of Sevorane by 23.9%, while of Amoxicillin by 20.6%.

On average, the drug prices in national currency are by 3.47% lower than in 2016.

A number of 48 new medicines appeared on the pharmaceutical market of Moldova. The prices indicated in the National Catalogue of Drug Producer Prices will be valid for a year of the day the Ministry of Health makes a relevant order.
