Prices of industrial production increased by 0.6% in August
Industrial production price index (IPPI) increased in August by 0.6%, compared with July. Official statistics show that the most significant increase in prices was registered in the extraction industry by 7.8%.
In the basic activity the prices increased by 0.6% registering different evolutions within the sector. In this way, the activity of clothes manufacturing prices increased by 1.1% and in the alimentary and beverages industry, paper and cardboard producing prices diminished by 0.1 and 4.2%.
Prices of electric and thermal power, natural gas and water did not change in August.
From the beginning of this year, the industrial production prices increased by 9.2% and in the last 12 months – by 13.2%.
At the same time, the consumption price index increased by 7.9% and in the last 12 month the cumulative inflation constituted 14.5%.
