The problems occurred in the railway transport, together with the season tendencies, generated a deficit of liquid natural gas on the internal market. As a result, the natural gas stations increased by 7% the price of this fuel on the last week – from MDL 7 to MDL 7.70 per liter. On the whole, from the beginning of August, liquid gas increased by 36% in price, from MDL 5.50 to 7.50 per liter. Importers and dealers say that increases were operated as a result of the difficult transportation of liquid gas by cargo trains. According to them, they could not perform any imports a rather long period because of the reparation works on Moghiliov-Podolsk Bridge. As a result the internal market confronts with a deficit of liquid gas. And usually during this period of the year, at the regional stock exchanges, the prices for liquid gas are increasing due to the fact that many countries make reserves for the cold season of the year. Specialists say that at least until November prices will remain high, afterwards they could go down.
