The price of the minatory health insurance policy in 2018 will be the same as during the last four years – 4,056 lei. This is provided in the draft mandatory health insurance funds law for 2018, which was proposed for public debates on particip.gov.md, IPN reports.

The health insurance premium in the form of percentage contribution from the salary or other remunerations will represent 9%, 4.5% of which is paid by the employer and as much by the insured person.

Under the bill, the discounts on the health policies were kept. Those who will buy the health policy during the first three months of next year will pay only 50% of the price of the policy, which is until April 1, 2018. Those who cultivate farmland will benefit from a 75% discount in the period.

Twice more operations will be performed on children with congenital malformations next year compared with 2017. Also, the number of in vitro fertilization operations will rise from 30 to 60.

The mandatory health insurance funds law for 2018 provides for revenues and an expenditure of 6.76 billion lei. Compared with 2017, revenues will be by 10.2% higher, while the expenditure by 8.5% higher.
