The mandatory health insurance premium will not get more expensive next year. This will remain 9% in percentage form and 4,056 lei as a fixed price in 2022. The draft law on the mandatory health insurance funds for next year was given a first reading by the MPs on November 25, IPN reports.
The mandatory health insurance premiums in the form of percentage contribution from the salary and other recompenses will come to 5.9 billion lei, up 919.4 million lei on 2021.
The 2022 mandatory health insurance funds will include revenues and costs of about 12.3 billion lei, up 10.3% and 8.3%, respectively, on this year.
A sum of 5.9 billion lei will be allocated from the state budget to the mandatory health insurance funds for insuring categories of unemployed persons, up 227.7 million lei on 2021.
Also, the minimum monthly income based on which the disfavored families will be able to ask for cold-month allowances will be increased by 478.4 lei, from 2,631.2 lei to 3,109.6 lei.
About 300,000 families will benefit from such allowances for which approximately 217 million lei will be allocated from the state budget. The cold-month allowance will be paid for the previous month and will be calculated starting with November 1, 2021.
