Preteen struck by trolleybus in Balti
An 11-year-old girl was hit by a trolleybus in Balti town when she was returning from school. She told her parents that she was on the roadside and wanted to cross the street at a crosswalk when the trolleybus set off and struck her laterally.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Balti Traffic Police inspector Anatol Kucherov said the trolleybus only touched the girl and the driver probably did not see the collision as he did not stop. The girl fell, but stood up and went home. Her parents took her to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with a concussion and contusion of the soft tissues.
The police have not yet identified the trolleybus that struck the girl and eyewitnesses. The investigation goes on.
