In the context of Infotag's press release on the preliminary claim filed by Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog against IPN News Agency, we hereby inform you of the following:
 

• IPN News Agency is a public utility media institution that informs correctly and equidistantly, its activity being guided by the principles and vision of the development of a democratic and modern society. Respect for human rights is a priority in the process of informing society, including respect for the presumption of innocence.
   
• We would like to thank our colleagues from Infotag for informing us about Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog's preliminary claim, publishing it before it was at least received directly by IPN Agency. However, we are puzzled as to why they chose this approach and would be glad to know if further communication with Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog will be ensured also through Infotag, given the lack of direct contact.
   
• We also emphasize that IPN News Agency respects the right of reply of each person or institution. In this case, the necessary space was already provided to present the point of view of the concerned party, in accordance with the journalistic norms in force.
   
• If, however, the preliminary claim is insisted on, we are waiting for the transmission of the original text according to the assumed procedure, in order to pass it on to IPN News Agency's lawyers, having also the public request to provide the email address trough which communication will be possible.
   
• The Agency will continue to be a reliable source of information, dedicated to ethical principles and journalistic professionalism, as it has been doing for over 20 years.
